The newest Rasmussen poll out on Friday, August 14th, 2009 has me scratching my head. The Republicans have been doing little or nothing since Obama was elected. Other than some rogue Governors running around with mistresses, they have been as quiet as a mouse. Ah, you might hear a mis-quoted peep in the MSM, or some crude humor about Sarah Palin, but with a filibuster proof Senate and a majority in Congress…and the Executive Branch…you would think the Democrats would have fixed everything by now.

To listen to the news and watch the stock market, you would think Obama and his team have fixed the economy, saved 5 billion jobs, and brought America together again. They have beer fests, and staged Town Hall events…and label the opposition as Nazi’s and Terrorists. Everything should be going their way…

But it isn’t…and I can’t figure out why. Maybe Americans are beginning to get to know more about Obama. Maybe they are seeing Chicago-style corruption taking place on a national level. Maybe they are seeing that “stimulus-into-debt” isn’t working, and may in fact have been a bad idea. Maybe they don’t like their Congress passing bills they admit to having never read. Maybe the REJECT the idea of Universal Health Care, Nationalized Medicine, National Health Insurance (whatever the DNC is calling it…). Maybe they don’t think punishing energy companies because of global warming is a sound idea.

Maybe it is all of the above.

Rasmussen polling now shows Republicans are favored in Health Care, The Economy, Education, National Security, Abortion, Social Security, Taxes, and Immigration.
http://www.rasmussenreports.com/public_content/politics/mood_of_america/trust_on_issues

What has the Republican Party done to cause the numbers to swing into their direction? Nothing. Maybe that was the plan all along…just put the Democrats in charge, and then get out of their way – they will surely screw things up. I have my doubts that there was such a ‘master plan’ in place…but if there was, it was not genius in the concept, anyone could have figured it out. It was the mastery of the execution that I applaud.

Do nothing, and still win. Pure luck or pure genius ?? You decide.

http://www.lvrj.com/news/52828402.html

What stood out for me was that global warming came in 8th out of 8 in environmental concerns…water pollution was number one. Another is that the Earth has been cooling since 1997, even though there is 5% more CO2 in the atmosphere. More and more Americans just aren’t buying the complicit news media’s story line…on global warming or anything else.

But what REALLY stood out for me was the 2nd to last sentence in which Nevada Senator Harry Reid states the following:

“We have a duty to all of our children to make sure we don’t let temporary difficulties get in the way of making good choices for their future.”

Whaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaat ?? (Yes, I just sqwacked. Pardon me.)

Can someone tell me how putting a 12 TRILLION dollar deficit onto our children is good for their future????

Anyone…Anyone…Harry?

Before the 2008 election, there was video everywhere showing Michelle Obama bashing the USA, and then admitting that she “For the first time in my life, I am proud of my country.” I bet she is proud, now. She gets to travel Europe, shop in France and London, sport $500 shoes and expensive $3,000 handbags…while even our own local DNC members bashed Cindy McCain and Sarah Palin for wearing expensive clothes. The double standard never surprises me, only the way the media and party loyalists will completely dismiss and rapidly change the subject whenever their candidate behaves in a ‘fashion’ (pardon the pun) that is exactly what they were critical of before…I think it may be called silent hypocrisy.

Mrs. Obama is surely proud of her private staff, not counting security, of 22 members earning a combined income of $1.5 million per year. (That is just incomes…their actual expenses could be multi-millions of dollars…who knows?). She was never elected…why are tax-payers paying ANY of this, short of Secret Service? In the middle of a huge recession, with Americans suffering, the 1st Lady is setting a fine example with fancy shopping trips, servants, and staffers catering to her every wish. Her top staffer earns $175k per year…are you kidding me?

No, it is not a joke:
http://www.politicsdaily.com/2009/07/06/what-michelle-obamas-staffers-earn/

Actually, yes it is a joke…on the tax payers.

I suppose when you are dealing with TRILLIONS of dollars in printed, fiat currency…who the heck cares? Why should she care, it isn’t HER money. Yes, the Obama’s are just like you and me, regular people who care about others…except tax payers…especially the evil tax payer who sends money to Washington DC quarterly, so politicians can spend it on ACORN and Unions, frog studies, and greener golf carts. The American tax payer is being treated worse than the new guy in the prison shower, while the First Lady racks up millions of dollars in unnecessary spending.

It has been told that Abe Lincoln’s wife was thoroughly chastised for buying a few pieces of China for the White House dining room, and Mamie Eisenhower had to pay out of her own pocket for her personal secretary. Now we have tax-payer funded shopping trips in Paris and London…we’re circling the drain, folks.

ADDER: More hypocrisy from the left.

Remember when Congress feigned all that ‘outrage’ over the industry executives flying around in corporate jets? News agencies made claims like, “While their companies are sinking, the corporate fat cats are flying in luxury…” Weird, when the country is sinking, nobody cares about the tax-payer money the Obama’s spent on their multitude of vacations…

Example: http://blogs.wsj.com/autoshow/2008/11/19/congress-members-criticize-auto-executives-corporate-jet-travel/

Where is the lap-dog media when this story appears? http://www.rollcall.com/issues/55_19/news/37552-1.html

I guess, for many Americans, as long as it is Tax Payer money, it isn’t really money.

A Blog Entry by Tom Young

Many of you have read, from a variety of sources, how the AGW (man-caused) global warming scam is the product of ‘One-World’ Government proponents as a way to scare mankind into relinquishing control of their personal lives in favor of a centralized, socialist model. Most of the time, such warnings are cast-off as mere fodder for ‘Tin Foil Hat’ conspiracy nuts, or right-wing global warming ‘deniers’…a term used to compare global warming skeptics to holocaust deniers.

With the impending ‘Cap-n-Trade’ legislation, having passed the House (barely), and now headed to the Senate, it is time to take a look at the connection between One-World government and the Global Warming movement.

Whenever you look into any type of fraud in government, always start with the money trail. Al Gore, the spokesman for global warming, has seen his personal wealth rise from an estimated 2 million dollars upon leaving office to an estimated 100 million dollars (1). The ‘crisis’ of all mankind has been pretty good to Al Gore, the individual. It has been reported that Al Gore is a member of the ‘Club of Rome’ group (2). The Club Of Rome is an international ‘Think Tank’ that states on their web-site: “Its essential mission is “to act as a global catalyst for change through the identification and analysis of the crucial problems facing humanity and the communication of such problems to the most important public and private decision makers as well as to the general public.(3)”

As you read the Club of Rome web-site information, it all sounds (purposefully) innocuous. However, when you look at their USA website (4) under the ‘Links’ section, something more insidious shows up…a link to The World Federalist Manifesto (5)…a very disturbing website. From the World Federalist Manifesto under the paragraph entitled The International Execuitve Branch: “A United Nations’ budget and management centralization would allow a better coordination of the activities and a reduction of costs of the 15 specialized agencies. The centralization of the UN system would create a de facto world government.”

I did some more researching and found something a bit eerie and even a little creepy: “In a report titled “The First Global Revolution” (1991) published by the Club of Rome, a globalist think tank, we find the following statement: “In searching for a new enemy to unite us, we came up with the idea that pollution, the threat of global warming, water shortages, famine and the like would fit the bill… All these dangers are caused by human intervention… The real enemy, then, is humanity itself.”(6)

Can anyone guess who puts out the IPCC Climate Report that Al Gore and others rely so heavily on?? Yes…the United Nations (7). How can anyone doubt the goal of the United Nations is to usurp control of the Governments of every country, including the most coveted – The United States? When our leaders sign U.N Treaties, they are handing over control to this power hungry, extremely corrupt body of foreigners who want nothing more than to control the resources, the economy – and the people – of the United States. Both parties in this country, Republican and Democrat, have signed U.N. treaties…and, at least in my mind, commit an act of treason every time they do.

So – what is Cap and Trade? In a nutshell, this government sponsored program allows companies to trade C02…a tree farm could ‘sell’ C02 credits to a coal-fired electricity producer…while the government, of course, gets a percentage of every sale. The government would assign a special number to every business. If you have a high number, and don’t purchase offsetting C02 credits, the government comes in and heavily fines your company. Where do these numbers come from? Government, of course, and your business will have to purchase the C02 special number from some new government agency.

What does this mean for a consumer? Well, EVERY product that you purchase will be seeing a price increase. Why? Because corporations DO NOT PAY TAXES…their customers do. Every company uses electricity, so every company will see a price increase. The goods and services in every industry will have this new surcharge added – and pass it along to the consumer. Every person will see a price increase in their own energy bills, their food, clothing, and everything else will have a corresponding price increase.

Who profits? Well, mostly Government – this is Obama’s SNEAKY way of paying for his huge new government. He promised not to increase taxes on anyone earning under $250k per year. Obama’s team runs around saying they will pay for their brave new world using a tax increase on ‘rich’ Americans. The problem: Most economists agree that even if you took every single penny from the ‘rich’ Americans – as described by the Obama team – it still doesn’t even come close to paying for the TRILLIONS of dollars he is spending. So where does all this new money come from? YOU and ME – in the form of Cap-and-Trade income to the government.

Who else profits? Those who invest in alternative energy companies that have inside information on government subsidies. Under Cap-and-Trade, the government pays BIG money to certain companies that qualify…companies that corrupt Senators and Congressman invest in, and then profit from laws THEY passed to fund these businesses. Al Gore himself admits to owning large stakes in such companies (8): “Here’s where it gets more interesting. The laws that Gore is referring to, of course, are those that would provide subsidies to and mandates for the alternative energy industry. Gore spotlights a number of these companies, including Smart Car; Amyris Biotechnologies; Altra Biofuels; Mascoma (cellulosic ethanol); Great Point Energy (biomass-to-gas and carbon capture technology); Altarock Energy (geothermal energy); Bloomenergy (fuel cells); Missole (solar technology); and Ausra (solar technology). As the companies; corporate logos flash on the screen, Gore states: “Here are just a few of the investments that I personally think make sense. I have a stake in these.”

These ‘Think Tank’ people invent a hoax, promote the hoax, whip up public sentiment through their media accomplices, claim a catastrophe is coming… then sell the “CURE”, and all retire handsomely in the Bahamas. This is Snake-Oil peddling on a global scale, and many people dearly believe in the snake-oil and even more so in those ‘saviors’ who produce the snake-oil.

Now that I have tied this entire HOAX together, and proven beyond the shadow of a doubt that the Global Warming movement is just a front for the New World Order, are there any gullible Liberals out there who still think I should be wearing a Tin Foil Hat? If so, then how about joining me in a new start-up, eco-friendly, green Tin-Foil Hat producing company…and we will all get rich and join the eco-fat cats down in the Bahamas.

There are a few good Republicans left in the GOP – those who will stand up to the Democrats and do what makes sense. Senator John Thune from South Dakota is one of the good guys and deserves some recognition for pushing a new bill in the Senate that you will not hear any mention of in the MSM.

The bill simply says, “If you hold a CCW in Idaho, and cross state lines into Washington, Oregon, Utah, Montana, Nevada, or Wyoming…as long as you follow the rules in those states, and as long as those states allow CCW permits, you will not be violating the law.”

In states like Illinois and New Jersey, where Concealed carry is prohibited, you will not be allowed to carry there…only states that allow CCW, and as long as you follow the rules of that state. Many states already have reciprocal carry laws, and if you obtain a Utah carry permit, you are automatically reciprocal with 28 other states.

Questions: If you legally carry a gun in Idaho, are you suddenly going to go on a shooting spree when you get into Utah? Do Utahans drive to Arizona so they can shoot people? Why not just shoot people in your own state to save time and money, and be closer to your relatives so they can visit you in prison?

Obviously, the left is out in full force against this bill…they don’t know why, they can’t articulate any strong defense of their position, yet they just can’t help themselves when a microphone or cameras are nearby.

The ridiculous objections sound like this:

Frank Lautenberg (D-NJ): “Trumping state laws to allow concealed weapons to be carried by almost anybody in any state is an egregious threat to communities all across the country. This amendment is just another attempt by the gun lobby to put its radical agenda ahead of safety and security in our communities.”(1)

Using words like “egregious” and “radical” are what makes him sound stupid. Why is Idaho safer than New Jersey? Would you feel safer in the community of Twin Falls or the community Trenton, New Jersey? Why does Lautenberg even care – his state is one of the Top 5 most restrictive already(2)…no one would dare carry a gun into his state, except of course criminals, who could care less about the law, and know that most of their victims do follow the law, and as such, will be unarmed. Bad guys +1. Good guys -1.

Chuck Schumer (D-NY): “Could endanger the safety of millions of Americans…to gut the ability of individual states to determine who should be able to carry a concealed weapon makes no sense.” (3)

“Endanger the safety…” C’mon, Chuck…now you just sound stupid. Boise or the Bronx…where would you feel safer? Exactly how does this endanger millions…how? These politicians never offer any proof, just outrageous hyperbole.

Washington Post Editorial (D-DC): The editorial is entitled “Hidden Danger”…so you know what the rest says. (4) The most ridiculous line is “According to a coalition of gun violence prevention groups, there have been three confirmed mass shootings carried out by people who had concealed-carry permits.” There have been thousands of shootings carried out by Democrats carrying DNC cards, too. Ssshhh…Nobody tell the Washington post that mass shooters typically carry rifles that can’t be concealed. And ssshhh…nobody show them this, either: “Permit holders are a remarkably law-abiding subclass of the population. Florida, which has issued over 1,408,907 permits in twenty one years, has revoked only 166 for a “crime after licensure involving a firearm.”(5)

When your goal is to set-up and install the New World Order, the first thing you must do is eliminate gun ownership. You use terms like “egregious” and “endangering millions” to help sell your ideology to the weak, while offering the masses the hollow security of the state. Folks, I absolutely adore the police, but when seconds count, they are only a few minutes away.

There is not one shred of evidence that CCW holders are an additional threat to society, and hundreds of studies that show the opposite. What criminal walks into a Sheriff’s office and gives them fingerprints, ID, and a host of personal information, and then walks around the corner and robs a liquor store? CCW holders, by definition, are law abiding citizens. Those holding a Utah permit, for example, have their records checked DAILY for felonies, and permits are revoked immediately if one is found.

Why is Chuck Schumer afraid? What is Lautenberg afraid of? They are actually afraid of CRIMINALS with guns…but they are taking it out on those who would submit to the law. Rather than confront criminals with guns (who vote for them), they prefer to sit in their ivory desks, with Secret Service all around, and proclaim that law abiding citizens are the problem (CCW holders who do not vote for them). It is simple political calculation to earn votes…and campaign contributions from the left. The politicians who run fastest to the TV cameras, shriek the most wildly, use the most ridiculous unsubstantiated hyperbole – they are the ones who get the biggest recognition by the MSM. So as soon as American Idol is over, and you cast your votes, Katie Couric comes on next and tells you about the millions who will be killed by the passage of this insane new gun bill…with her special guests Chuck Schumer and Frank Lautenberg.

You will find that I don’t throw too many posts into the fray. This was emailed to me from a good friend. It coincides with what I think of those bastards the voted for BHO, and got us into this mess that will cost us all for a long, long time. Thanks a lot! “Elections have consequences.” Be sure to thank the next person you see with a Obamo ‘08 sticker on their vehicle. Here goes…

A woman in a hot air balloon realized she was lost. She lowered her altitude and spotted a man in a boat below.. She shouted to him, “Excuse me, can you help me? I promised a friend I would meet him an hour ago, but I don’t know where I am.”

The man consulted his portable GPS and replied, “You’re in a hot air balloon, approximately 30 feet above ground elevation of 2,346 feet above sea level. You are at 31 degrees, 14.97 minutes north latitude and 100 degrees, 49.09 minutes west longitude.”

“She rolled her eyes and said, “You must be a Republican.”

“I am,” replied the man. “How did you know?”

“Well,” answered the balloonist, “everything you told me is technically correct. But I have no idea what to do with your information, and I’m still lost. Frankly, you’ve not been much help to me.”
The man smiled and responded, “You must be an Obama Democrat.” “I am,” replied the balloonist. “How did you know?”

“Well,” said the man, “you don’t know where you are or where you are going. You’ve risen to where you are, due to a large quantity of hot air. You made a promise you have no idea how to keep, and you expect me to solve your problem. You’re in exactly the same position you were in before we met, but somehow, now it’s my fault.”

Thanks for listening,
Travis Wray

A former Guantanamo Bay inmate is leading the fight against U.S. Marines in the Helmand province of Afghanistan, a senior U.S. defense official confirmed to FOX News on Tuesday.

Mullah Zakir, also known as Abdullah Ghulam Rasoul, surrendered in Mazar-e-Sharif in Northern Afghanistan in 2001, and was transferred to Gitmo in 2006. He was released in late 2007 to Afghan custody.

Now as the United States is pushing ahead with the massive Operation Khanjar in the southern province of Afghanistan, Zakir is coordinating the Taliban fighters. Some 4,000 U.S. Marines and hundreds of Afghan forces have faced some resistance as they sweep across the province, reclaiming control of districts where Zakir and his comrades were running a shadow government.

Zakir was released from Afghan custody around 2008, according to the New York Post. He re-established connections with high-level Taliban leaders in Afghanistan and Pakistan after his second release.

Taliban chief Mullah Omar appointed Zakir in mid-2008 as senior military commander, according to the newspaper.

Zakir quickly became a charismatic leader, helping establish an “accountability commission” to track spending and monitor activities of Taliban leaders in the districts where READ MORE…

For so many of us the image of George Washington is that of the perpetual battle commander who never lost a battle; however, General George Washington suffered one defeat after another at the hands of the British. Time and again, General Washington was forced to retreat from battle; often times due to a strategic blunder that he would regret for the remainder of his life. But General Washington stood firm against the losses and never let his soldiers see him waiver in his convictions.

Ladies and Gentlemen, we are in the midst of a great and terrible battle for our country against tyranny and corruption. Let there be no doubt that the Republican Party has suffered a series of tremendous blows, some of the defeats by a talented and charismatic opponent, but more often by a strategic blunder of one of our own. So many of our leaders have fallen away from the battle before us, or worse have been found to be nothing more than RINO traitors to the Party and to the Republic.

But on this day in which we celebrate our Independence from another tyrannical leader, we must stand firm in our convictions. Like a lighthouse being hammered by the wild tempests of the sea, our duty to God and Country cannot be allowed to be extinguished. Thousands of miles away our Marines, Soldiers, Seamen, and Airmen are moving into battlefields to keep us safe at home and to establish liberty, opportunity, and freedom for others. It must therefore be impossible for us to waiver in our battle here at home against those that would have us lay down our beliefs, our laws, or our moral convictions.

The United States Constitution is under attack and the waves of corruption continue to rise higher and higher against us. Now is not the time to sit on our sofas and wallow in pity and defeat! Even as more of our leaders stumble and expose themselves for their own ill gotten gain or find themselves standing arm in arm within the enemy’s encampment- we must stand before our fellow Republicans and Libertarians as General Washington did. Calculated retreats may be required, but the war must continue- the battles must be fought, and heroes will be found.

In Britain, the government laughed and mocked the patriots who dared to stand against the mighty power of the Empire; yet our forefathers stood and took the battle to the Redcoats with passion in their hearts and in indifference to their own dangers. Can we not then stand proudly against the mocking of the new state run and mainstream media’s attacks and defamation? Are Katie Couric and David Letterman a force stronger that the British Empire!? No, I say they are fools whose only motives are their own selfish marketing advancement and their lies will be exposed. To be American is not some schoolgirl popularity contest nor a race to see who can be the trendiest celebrity. To be American means you are willing to sacrifice all that you are in defense of our inalienable rights and the pursuit of life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness.

We can all see that the current administration is more interested in their own image and propagation of their idolatry than they are the defense of the constitution. You cannot debate with fools who have defined their leader as infallible and lifted him up to a status of near immortality. To admit their own errors and the destruction of the country by this wreckless and poorly prepared rookie leader, would be unbearable to their already warped collective psyche. They know they can no longer look into the looking glass without seeing their failures and the destruction it has caused, the deception which has hoodwinked them; and so they must trudge on blindly chanting like zealot proselytizing worshippers of so many cults.

Republicans do not stand apart from the masses and not want to contribute to the success of our fellow countrymen and friends; however, we DO NOT want our government imposing itself upon us to take from us to give to others. We are a giving people, with a history of generosity that far surpasses any other people. Republicans give of their time, their resources, and themselves- while the new Democratic Party has established itself as a group of thugs expecting entitlements, handouts, taxation, and power.

So I ask you, this 4th of July to stand in resolve to bear the tempest and shine your beacon lights for others to see. To remember that the fireworks exploding above you are an analogy to the cannon fire which our Patriots endured. The explosions represent the blasts of bombs and gunfire that our fallen servicemen heard as they gave their lives to protect us and they are the same blasts which our current military family must endure to see us safely through this night. Each of those fireworks that flash and light up the night need to be a remembrance of the flicker of souls that were laid down so that you could enjoy the freedoms bestowed upon us by a benevolent God and ensured by the words written within our United States Constitution.

This Independence Day needs to mark a new turning point in the battle. You must rise up in opposition and use your time, talents, and energy to reach out to Congress, the Senate, and to the White House on every bill, every law, and every resolution to take back what has been slowly wrenched from us. Act now or prepare to remain in silence forever against the voices that continue to take away your freedoms.

Stand like General Washington, stand as the lighthouse in the storm- Stand Our Ground!

God Bless each of you and God Bless with all his majesty our United States of America.
